Islam Issa, a player for Ceramica Cleopatra, is preparing to travel to Germany to undergo surgery for a cruciate ligament injury, following an injury he sustained recently while playing for the Egyptian national team.

Medical examinations that the player underwent confirmed a tear in the anterior cruciate ligament of the left knee, following the national team's return from Spain. He underwent an MRI immediately upon arrival to accurately determine the nature of the injury.

Issa was injured during the friendly match between the Egyptian national team and its Spanish counterpart, which ended in a goalless draw.

Officials from Ceramica Cleopatra moved quickly to finalize the player's travel arrangements in preparation for starting his treatment and rehabilitation journey, given his expected long absence from the field.

The player primarily participated in the national team's friendly matches against Saudi Arabia and Spain during the March camp, before an injury prematurely ended his involvement.
