Italian coach Simone Inzaghi, the manager of Al-Hilal, confirmed that his decision to leave Inter Milan was not driven by financial motives, as some might think.

Inzaghi explained in a press statement that his experience in Saudi Arabia came for different reasons, noting that he is experiencing exceptional conditions on both professional and personal levels.

He pointed out that the environment in Saudi Arabia offers a high quality of life, both in terms of sports facilities and the tranquility that aids in focusing on work.

The Al-Hilal coach added that achieving good financial income is positive, but it was not the main motivation behind the decision to move.

He emphasized his desire to take on a new challenge away from the significant pressures he experienced during his time with Inter Milan, despite his success there.

Inzaghi also spoke about the situation of the Italian national team, expressing his sadness over their absence from the 2026 World Cup, but he showed confidence in the return of Italian football soon.

Regarding his potential candidacy to coach the Italian national team in the future, he stated that he feels honored, but he is currently happy with Al-Hilal and is under an ongoing contract.
