Lawyer and legal advisor Mohammed Al-Daini revealed that these statements might prompt the Disciplinary and Ethics Committee to take action and impose sanctions on the player.

He explained that the penalty might be limited to a financial fine of 50,000 riyals, according to the approved regulations, if the statements are considered a minor violation.

He pointed out that the matter could escalate if the committee deems that Neves' remarks contain direct offense towards the referee, which could lead to harsher penalties.

In this case, the player may face suspension for several matches, along with a financial fine that could reach up to 300,000 riyals.

This crisis came after Al-Hilal drew with Al-Taawoun, with each team scoring two goals, in a match that witnessed refereeing controversy.

Neves had expressed his objection to the referee's decision, citing a clip on his phone, asserting that it included an uncalled foul before Al-Taawoun's goal.

Al Hilal fans are awaiting the decision of the Disciplinary Committee, amid anticipation regarding the player's fate given the sensitivity of the current stage of the season.
