Young Barcelona midfielder Marc Bernal suffered an ankle injury that forced him to leave his team's match against Atletico Madrid in the 62nd minute, yesterday, Saturday, during the 30th round of the Spanish League.

According to journalist Gerard Romero, Bernal will be absent from the Catalan club for ten days, while the Catalan club has not yet issued any official statement regarding the player's exact condition.

It is confirmed that the young player will miss the match against Atletico Madrid on Wednesday in the first leg of the Champions League quarter-finals, in addition to the Espanyol match scheduled for Saturday in the 31st round of the Spanish League.

Bernal's absence is a significant blow for coach Hans Flick, who is already missing the services of Frenkie de Jong, leaving the only remaining midfielders available as Casado and Eric Garcia, alongside Pedri and Fermin.
