UEFA announced the appointment of English referee Michael Oliver to officiate the Real Madrid vs Bayern Munich match, in the first leg of the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals, which will take place at the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium on Tuesday evening.

This is the fifth match that Oliver will officiate for Real Madrid in European competitions, as he has previously led several matches for the royal team in the Champions League and the UEFA Super Cup.

Real Madrid achieved 3 victories with the English referee and lost only one match.

The matches officiated by the English referee for Real Madrid were as follows:

Real Madrid vs Juventus with a score of 1-3 in the second leg of the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals in the 2017-2018 season.

Real Madrid vs Eintracht Frankfurt with a score of 2-0 in the UEFA Super Cup 2022.

Braga vs Real Madrid with a score of 1-2 in the group stage of the UEFA Champions League in the 2023-2024 season.

Olympiacos vs Real Madrid with a score of 3-4 in the first stage of the UEFA Champions League in the 2025-2026 season.
