The Spanish newspaper ABC revealed that Real Betis is working to finalize the deal for Moroccan star Sofyan Amrabat before the upcoming World Cup, after being convinced of his level and importance in midfield.

According to the report, Betis management has already begun negotiations with Fenerbahçe, the club that holds the player's contract, to reach a final agreement for his permanent transfer in the coming period.

The negotiations revolve around the value of the deal, with Fenerbahçe asking for about 12 million euros to release Amrabat, while the Spanish club is looking to reduce the amount or reach a comfortable payment arrangement.

The player's salary is one of the main obstacles, as Betis is working to convince Amrabat to reduce his salary to facilitate the completion of the deal, amid a mutual desire from both parties to continue the experience.
