Football fans are eagerly awaiting a strong match between Atlético Madrid and Barcelona, amid a notable offensive rivalry between Argentine Julián Álvarez and the Catalan team's duo Robert Lewandowski and Ferran Torres, according to the Spanish newspaper 'Mundo Deportivo.'

The newspaper confirmed that Barcelona has set its sights on Julián Álvarez, Atlético Madrid's forward, as one of its main targets in the upcoming summer transfer market, even though his performance during the teams' league encounter at Spotify Camp Nou did not convince the sports management, nor did he stand out in the second leg of the cup, while he excelled in the first leg at the Metropolitano Stadium, scoring one of the four goals.

The newspaper explained that Álvarez gradually regained his form after a scoring drought, as he began to deliver outstanding performances on a team level, alongside his scoring contributions, especially during the Champions League matches against Tottenham, where he scored two goals and provided three assists.

On the other hand, Barcelona's attack is experiencing fluctuations, with coach Hans Flick considering several options for the center-forward position, including relying on Dani Olmo or Marcus Rashford, while Lewandowski recently managed to outperform Ferran Torres, supported by his brace against Newcastle, despite scoring only one goal during the international break with the Polish national team, which failed to qualify for the World Cup.

The report indicated that Ferran Torres was unable to score during February and March, but he contributed by assisting a goal for Victor Munoz, Osasuna's forward, during the international break, a player who also attracts Barcelona's interest.

The report confirmed that Lewandowski has a relative advantage to lead Barcelona's attack, despite the possibility of Ferran starting, while Julián Álvarez is expected to lead Atlético Madrid's attack alongside Frenchman Antoine Griezmann, as happened in the cup match that ended with coach Diego Simeone's team winning 4-0.
