Bruno Fernandes, Manchester United captain, won the Player of the Month award for March in the Premier League, equaling the six awards of his former teammate Cristiano Ronaldo after a month in which he excelled by scoring two goals and providing four assists in four matches.

Fernandes started the month by scoring a goal and providing an assist in United's 2-1 win over Crystal Palace, then provided an assist in a 2-1 loss to Newcastle.

He provided two assists in the 3-1 victory over Aston Villa, before scoring a penalty in the 2-2 draw against Bournemouth.

Fernandes increased his total assists this season to 16, achieving a club record surpassing David Beckham, and is close to matching the record for the most assists in a single Premier League season, which stands at 20 assists.
