New Timeline for Completing Spotify Camp Nou Stadium
Thursday 02-04-2026
FC Barcelona revealed the timeline for completing the Spotify Camp Nou Stadium, where all stands are expected to be ready by the end of April 2027, with only the roof installation remaining, which will take about four months. This may lead to a halt in stadium activities at the beginning of the 2027-28 season.

Timeline Details:

  • September 2026: Opening of the third lateral stand (Tercera Lateral) with a capacity of about 70,000 spectators, including luxury suites.

  • End of 2026: Completion of the main stands (Tribuna) with all luxury suite seats operational, gradually bringing the stadium capacity to 80,000 spectators.

  • April 2027: Completion of the stands behind the goals (Goles), making all stands economically ready before roof installation.

The club's management explained that the roof installation requires a halt in field activities. Some supporting columns have already been installed, with an emphasis on adhering to deadlines to avoid delays.

After the completion of Spotify Camp Nou Stadium, the construction of the Nou Palau stadium will begin at the mini camp site, as part of the Espai Barça project, considering its compatibility with the urban plan and surrounding environment.

The club also outlined plans for the next season in case of activity suspension due to roof installation. President Joan Laporta prefers to play matches at the new Johan Cruyff Stadium, with Montjuïc Stadium retained as a backup plan. Regarding subscriptions, fees will be updated when the suspension is lifted according to the cumulative consumer price index since 2023, without any additional increases.
