Ibrahim Hassan revealed details about Islam Issa's injury, which he sustained during the friendly match against the Spanish national team.

The Egyptian national team played to a goalless draw against their Spanish counterparts in a match held as part of their preparations for the 2026 World Cup.

Ibrahim Hassan clarified that the rumors about the player suffering a cruciate ligament tear are not confirmed yet, noting that Islam Issa has not undergone the necessary medical examinations while in Spain.

He added that the player will undergo an MRI scan upon his return to Egypt to accurately determine the nature of the injury and to establish an appropriate treatment program, as well as to decide the expected duration of his absence from the field in the coming period.
