Approaching Completion of the Third Ring Stands at Camp Nou Stadium
Tuesday 31-03-2026
The development works at Camp Nou Stadium are progressing rapidly, with the third ring stands nearing completion, marking a new step in the project to rebuild the home of FC Barcelona, according to the Spanish newspaper 'Mundo Deportivo.'

The newspaper explained that the works are almost finished in most parts of the third ring, with only the completion of the stands in the upper part of the southern side remaining, which is the area where the stadium dismantling process began with the start of the works.

The Spanish newspaper added that the next phase will see, in the coming months, the start of seat installation after completing the insulation works for the stands, as part of the preparation of this part of the stadium.

In recent weeks, columns have been installed in the upper part of the third ring, which will be used to support the roof in the future. The plan aims to complete this phase during the summer, with the roof installation scheduled after the end of the 2026/2027 season, to be fully ready by the end of summer 2027. According to the newspaper's technical studies, the duration of this phase is expected to take four months, ending in October.

In case of any delays in the roof installation works, the newspaper indicated that Barcelona intends to open a dialogue with the municipality to ensure the possibility of using the Olympic Stadium Lluís Companys, at a time when Camp Nou is expected to witness an intense summer of work, benefiting from the break between the end of the season in May and the start of the new season, allowing the Limak company to work uninterrupted during that period.
