Italian Spy in Bosnia and Herzegovina Training
Tuesday 31-03-2026
Media reports revealed a controversial incident that occurred hours before the World Cup qualifying playoff match between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Italy, after an Italian individual was caught filming the training session of the Bosnia and Herzegovina national team.

According to the Spanish newspaper "Marca," the coaching staff noticed a man wearing a military jacket with the Italian emblem, resembling the uniform of the European Union forces. He was attaching a mobile phone to his body and filming the tactical training from a location where he was not permitted to be.

Upon discovering the matter, the officials of the Bosnian team intervened and expelled him from the training area. However, it is still unclear how long he had been filming or whether he managed to transmit any information.

In the aftermath of the incident, the Bosnian Football Federation filed an official complaint with the European Union delegation, referring to a potential case of what it described as "sports espionage," while no official comment has been issued yet from the Italian side.
