Key Absences for Al-Zawraa Before Facing Erbil
Monday 30-03-2026
Al-Zawraa will visit Erbil tomorrow, Tuesday, at the Franso Hariri Stadium, as part of the twenty-fifth round of the Iraqi Stars League. The match will kick off at 3 PM Baghdad time and holds double significance for both sides in the race for top positions.

Al-Zawraa enters the match with a depleted squad due to the absence of several key players. It has been confirmed that the quartet Hassan Abdulkarim, Karrar Nabil, Maytham Jabbar, and Akam Hashim will be absent as they join the Iraqi national team in preparation for the World Cup qualifier playoff final against Bolivia.

The team will also miss the services of the Jordanian duo Abdullah Naseeb and Amer Jamous, who are with the Jordanian national team at a training camp in Turkey as part of the 'Nashama' preparations.

Furthermore, there are doubts about the readiness of Alexander Oraha, Kevin Junior, and goalkeeper Jalal Hassan due to injuries, which may lead the technical staff to rearrange their strategy in more than one position.

Additionally, Cameroonian Clarence Bitang will be absent due to a technical decision by coach Luay Salah, adding to the list of challenges for Al-Zawraa before the match against Erbil, who are in third place with 50 points, while Al-Zawraa is in fifth with 45 points, aiming for a positive result despite the absences to solidify their position and close in on the leading teams.
