Al Ahly is preparing to open a new round of negotiations with Malian midfielder Aliou Dieng to persuade him to renew his contract and continue with the team in the upcoming period.

Dieng's contract ends at the conclusion of the current season, which gives him the right to sign with any club for free since entering the free agency period last January, without needing to consult the club's management.

According to "On Sport FM" radio, Al Ahly is looking to take advantage of the player's transfer to Valencia falling through due to financial disagreements, in order to reopen negotiations and convince him to stay.

Sayed Abdelhafiz, the supervisor of the football team, is leading the negotiation efforts with the player, as the management wishes to retain one of the team's key pillars.

The Al Ahly management is expected to hold a new meeting with Dieng and his agent after the end of the international break to finalize the renewal issue, whether it be for continuation or departure.

The previous negotiations between the two parties had stalled due to financial disagreements, in addition to the player's desire to pursue a new professional experience in Europe in the upcoming phase.
