England national team coach Thomas Tuchel confirmed that Real Madrid star Jude Bellingham will not participate in the friendly match against Japan scheduled for Tuesday at Wembley Stadium due to a muscle injury.

Tuchel explained in statements to the BBC that the technical staff does not want to risk the player, saying that muscle injuries are always somewhat unclear, so they preferred to rest him and not include him in the match.

The English star also missed the previous friendly match against Uruguay for the same reason.

Bellingham is set to return to the royal club without playing any minutes during the international break, and his injury will be assessed upon his return to Valdebebas to determine his readiness for the upcoming period.

The club's medical team is expected to decide whether Bellingham can be included in the squad for the match against Real Mallorca next Saturday, especially as Real Madrid is also preparing for a strong clash against Bayern Munich next week in the first leg of the Champions League quarter-finals.
