Al-Nassr Loses Mubarak Al-Buainain Due to New Cruciate Ligament Injury
Sunday 29-03-2026
On Sunday, Al-Nassr Club announced that their goalkeeper, Mubarak Al-Buainain, suffered an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) tear in his knee, making him the second player on the team to sustain this type of injury this season, following Raghad Al-Najjar.

The club's official account on the "X" social media platform clarified that Al-Buainain is currently undergoing surgery, followed by an intensive treatment and rehabilitation phase in preparation for his return to the field as soon as possible.

The Portuguese coach Jesus promoted Al-Buainain to the first team to fill the gap in the goalkeeper position, as the team relies on the Brazilian Bento Matheus as the main goalkeeper, while Nawaf Al-Aqeedi is on the bench.

This injury adds pressure on Al-Nassr amidst its current competitions in the Saudi League, necessitating the management and coaching staff to reassess the team's goalkeeping options in the upcoming period.
