Real Madrid Considers Loaning Mastantono
Reports have revealed that Real Madrid is now open to the idea of loaning out their young player Franco Mastantono during the upcoming summer transfer window, after having completely closed the door on this option in the last winter transfer market.
According to several Spanish reports, the management of the Royal Club believes that loaning the player out might be the best option at this stage, to give him more playing time that would help him develop and gain experience, before returning in the future to Santiago Bernabéu as a more mature and ready player.
Real Madrid signed Mastantonio last summer from Argentina's River Plate for more than 60 million euros, following a strong competition with Paris Saint-Germain to acquire the young talent. The player had a promising start with the team under the former coach Xabi Alonso, but his role has gradually diminished recently.
The idea of loaning the Argentine player also comes in light of the club's decision to bring his compatriot Nico Paz back from Como to the first team starting next season, which might reduce Mastantonio's chances of regularly participating in the starting lineup.
