Di Lorenzo Raises Concerns in Napoli
Sunday 29-03-2026
Italian press reports have stated that Giovanni Di Lorenzo, a player for Napoli, may remain absent from the field for an additional month after it was revealed that his knee injury is more serious than expected.

Di Lorenzo was injured during the team's match against Fiorentina on January 31, and it was planned for him to return after the international break. However, he has not been able to participate so far, according to "Tutto Mercato" newspaper.

The player will likely have to be absent until the end of April, which will cause him to miss a significant number of Napoli's matches in the Italian league race.

Di Lorenzo has played 32 official matches for Napoli this season, scoring one goal and providing three assists, under the management of Antonio Conte, reflecting his importance in the team's lineup.

This concern comes alongside another crisis for the club related to Romelu Lukaku, who refuses to return early from Belgium after apologizing for not participating with his national team. Reports indicate that Napoli may impose sanctions if he does not return to the club by Tuesday morning.
