The English newspaper Mirror revealed a remarkable move by fan Andy Milne, one of the most prominent supporters of the England national team, after he decided to sell his house to fund his trip to attend the 2026 World Cup.

According to the report, Milne, who is 62 years old, plans to attend his tenth World Cup, having previously followed eight men's tournaments, in addition to the women's tournament in Australia in 2023.

The English fan is expected to spend about seven weeks in the United States, as he has tickets to attend all the matches up to the final. This prompted him to put his second home in Northwich up for sale for £350,000 to cover the costs.

Milne became famous during the 2022 World Cup when he appeared holding a replica of the Jules Rimet Trophy, in a scene that caught the attention of the fans.

In statements reported by the newspaper, Milne expressed his desire to follow the entire tournament, noting that he will travel on June 3rd and stay for seven weeks, which requires significant expenses.

He added that he is trying to minimize costs as much as possible by temporarily staying with friends in several cities, such as Mexico, Dallas, and Vancouver. He emphasized that travel costs are high, so he made sure to book airline tickets early to avoid any potential changes.
