The English national team scored the lead goal through Ben White in the 81st minute, following a cross from a corner executed by Palmer, which reached Ben White who directed it into the net.

In the 90+4 minute, the referee awarded a penalty to Uruguay after consulting the video assistant referee, through which Federico Valverde scored the equalizing goal.

This meeting comes as part of the preparations of both teams for the 2026 World Cup competitions at the end of the current season.

The English national team is set to face the Japanese team in a friendly match next Tuesday, while the Uruguayan national team will play against Algeria on the same day.
