Italian press reports have revealed that Barcelona is close to reaching a personal agreement with Italian defender Alessandro Bastoni, a player for Inter Milan, in preparation for attempting to sign him in the upcoming period.

According to what was mentioned by 'Sport Italia' in its report, the Catalan club offered the player a salary that is double what he currently earns with Inter, in addition to a contract extending for five years.

Barcelona's current plan is to first convince Bastoni of the club's sports project before later entering formal negotiations with Inter Milan's management to reach an agreement on the deal's value.

Previous press reports claimed that Inter has set the price for the Italian defender at an amount ranging between 70 and 80 million euros, an amount the Catalan club might try to reduce, especially given the club's financial situation.
