The corridors of Al-Ahly are witnessing a state of division among the board members regarding the possibility of bringing back the duo Rami Rabia, the defender from Al Ain, and Hamdi Fathi, the midfielder from Al Wakrah, during the upcoming summer transfer window.

According to Al-Watan newspaper, the return of Rami Rabia raises many reservations within the club, given his age (32 years) and his history with injuries in the past periods, which casts doubt on his ability to provide the required contribution.

On the other hand, Hamdi Fathi is highly regarded within the Red Castle, but his age (31 years) and the expected financial cost of completing the deal may pose an obstacle to his return, especially given the management's direction to cut expenses and restructure the team, in addition to rejecting the idea of bringing him back last summer.

The report confirmed that Al Ahly's management has set clear criteria for signing new deals, most notably age, technical readiness, and the player's ability to make a strong contribution in the medium and long term.
