The Asian Football Confederation officially announced the postponement of the draw ceremony for the 2027 Asian Cup finals, which was scheduled to be held in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, next April.

The decision came after a comprehensive review by the federation, aiming to ensure the easy attendance of all concerned parties and to avoid any organizational obstacles that might affect the course of the event.

The federation clarified in its statement that this step is aimed at ensuring a ceremony befitting the status of the continental championship, and to guarantee the organized and comprehensive participation of all parties involved.

He also expressed his great appreciation for the efforts of the local organizing committee, which demonstrated full readiness to host the draw ceremony according to the previously set plan.

He also praised the understanding of national federations, fans, and partners, who showed remarkable cooperation with the decision, supporting the success of the event in its ideal form.

The Asian Football Confederation confirmed that it will announce the new date and details related to conducting the draw at the appropriate time.

The tournament is expected to take place from January 7 to February 5, 2027, with the participation of the continent's top national teams.

The cities of Riyadh, Jeddah, and Khobar will host the tournament matches, with the King Fahd International Stadium set to host the opening and final matches, as well as the matches of the Saudi national team.
