Wednesday 25-03-2026
Borussia Dortmund officially announced the signing of Ole Buck to take over as sporting director, succeeding Sebastian Kehl, with a contract extending until June 30, 2029. He will begin his duties immediately.

Bock, aged 40, became the first choice for the club's management after a long period of observing his work at Elversberg Club, where he caught attention with his abilities in team building and talent development.

Bouk has a remarkable experience in administrative work, as he led Elversberg to rise from amateur leagues to the second division, successfully increasing the team's value and developing young players.

The Dortmund management, led by Lars Ricken, has shown great confidence in his ability to present "bold and innovative" ideas, especially in the transfer market.

For his part, Bok expressed his great happiness with this step, affirming that joining Dortmund represents the fulfillment of a personal dream, as he described the club as the "club of his heart since childhood." He also noted his enthusiasm to contribute to the continued success of the team and to work within a long-term project that brings the club back to competing for titles.

The appointment of Bock comes at a critical time for the German club, which is looking to rebuild its sports project and compete strongly both domestically and in Europe. Fans are eagerly anticipating the impact of the new manager, especially with the summer transfer window approaching, as it will be his first real test in shaping the team for the coming seasons.
