Press reports revealed that the Manchester United management has narrowed down the list of candidates for the team's coaching position to just three names, as part of its search for the club's new head coach.

According to reports from Britain, Michael Carrick is considered one of the leading candidates for the permanent position, with only two competitors remaining in the race: Luis Enrique and Julian Nagelsmann.

The source added that Michael Carrick advanced in the internal evaluation over several coaches active in the Premier League, who were among the options considered in the past period.

Among these coaches were Oliver Glasner, Marco Silva, Unai Emery, and Thomas Frank, before they were excluded from the final list, leaving only Carrick, Nagelsmann, and Enrique.

It is expected that Manchester United's management will make a decision regarding the identity of the coach at the end of the current season, noting that Carrick is currently coaching the team on an interim basis following the departure of Ruben Amorim.
