Saudi Conflict Over Marc Casado
Saudi Professional League clubs have entered the race to sign young Barcelona player Marc Casado, amid his reduced role with the Catalan team and his impending departure in the near future.
According to the Spanish newspaper "Sport," Casado is attracting significant interest from prominent Saudi clubs, most notably Al-Nassr and Al-Ahli, with Al-Hilal being a possible third option.
The newspaper clarified that the two clubs, Al-Nassr and Al-Ahli, have prioritized the player to strengthen the defensive midfield position, given their financial ability to make substantial offers to persuade the player to transfer.
Al-Ahli's interest comes as they seek to compensate for the expected departure of star Franck Kessié, who is likely to return to Europe at the end of his contract. Meanwhile, Al-Nassr is looking for a replacement for Marcelo Brozović, who is nearing the end of his career and is set to return to Croatia.
On the other hand, Al-Hilal remains a viable option, especially with the possibility of including João Cancelo in a swap deal with Barcelona, which is seeking an appropriate financial or technical return in the upcoming summer.
Despite the tempting offers, Casado currently prefers to focus on securing a starting position with Barcelona and will make a final decision about his future after the end of the current season in consultation with his agent Jorge Mendes.
