German coach Jürgen Klopp denied the rumors linking his name to a move to Real Madrid, confirming that everything being circulated on this topic has no basis in reality.

Klopp said: "If Real Madrid had contacted me, you would have heard about it at some point, but all this is just rumors. They have not contacted me at all, nor my agent, and you can verify that."

He added: "Think a little, how long has this story been circulating?"

Klopp explained that these news do not bother him, confirming that he is happy with his career as a coach, and said: "I have been a coach throughout my professional career, and it is a wonderful job. As I have mentioned several times, I prefer people to think that I might take the job one day, rather than believe I am the last person fit for it."
