Al Hilal insists on receiving appropriate financial compensation for selling the remainder of the player's contract, rejecting the idea of his departure without generating financial return.

The Saudi club set a price of 15 million euros for selling the remaining year in Cancelo's contract, which extends until the summer of 2027.

On the other hand, Barcelona is looking to complete the deal without paying this amount by waiting for the player to end his contract with Al Hilal and move for free.

Cancelo returned to Barcelona on loan last January to reclaim his spot in the team's lineup.

The player participated in 12 matches since joining, during which he scored a goal and provided 4 assists, reinforcing Barcelona's desire to retain his services.
