The Al Ahly board of directors decided to dismiss the club's planning committee, headed by Mokhtar Mokhtar, and to completely abolish it, in a move aimed at restructuring the technical and administrative work system and restoring balance within the team.

This came during a meeting chaired by Mahmoud El-Khatib, the club president, attended by Yassin Mansour, the vice president, and Sayed Abdel Hafeez, a board member, to discuss the repercussions of the past phase and to outline a clear roadmap for the upcoming period.

An agreement was reached to conduct a comprehensive evaluation of all sectors within the club, including the first team and other departments, with the aim of identifying and quickly addressing any shortcomings. This will be done while adhering to clear standards of accountability and reward to ensure the highest levels of discipline and commitment.

The council also confirmed that the coaching staff will be given an opportunity to rectify the situation in the upcoming phase, with close monitoring of performance, especially given important local commitments during which the club seeks to regain confidence and reconcile with its fans.
