Sunday 22-03-2026
The players of the Saudi Arabian national football team began gathering in the city of Jeddah, marking the start of the training camp during the international break in March, as part of serious preparations for the 2026 World Cup.

The preparatory program extends between Jeddah and Serbia from March 22 to 31, during which the Saudi national team will play two friendly matches as part of the preparation plan for the upcoming stage.

The Saudi national team will face its Egyptian counterpart on March 27 at the Al-Inma Stadium in King Abdullah Sports City, before traveling to meet the Serbian team on the 31st of the same month in the capital, Belgrade.

The mission is scheduled to depart for Serbia on March 28, with the team set to undergo two training sessions there in preparation for the second match in the program.

The national team will begin its training tomorrow evening at the auxiliary fields of King Abdullah Sports City in Jeddah, in a closed session away from the media.

In a related context, the camp coincides with a parallel gathering for the (B) national team under the supervision of coach Hervé Renard, led by Luigi Di Biagio, the coach of the under-23 national team.

This move is part of a comprehensive preparation plan for the upcoming events, especially the 2026 World Cup, where the Saudi national team is in Group H alongside Spain, Uruguay, and Cape Verde.
