The newspaper explained that Barcelona, led by both Deco and Bojan Krkic, has been considering for several seasons the possibility of signing the Spanish goalkeeper, who is approaching 30 years old, after closely tracking and monitoring his performance, with ongoing communication with his agent to ensure his signing under the best conditions.

Alex Remiro's contract expires on June 30, 2027, and his release clause was 50 million euros last season when he was proposed as an alternative to Juan Garcia, but as he approaches the final year of his contract, his value is expected to drop to around 15 million euros, and he may leave the Anoeta Stadium for a lower amount in the upcoming summer transfer market.

Barcelona is exploring the possibility of signing the goalkeeper this summer or waiting until the summer of 2027 to sign him for free, considering compliance with the financial fair play rules in La Liga.
