Press reports have confirmed that Newcastle United has placed English striker Liam Delap from Chelsea at the top of their target list for the upcoming summer period, in an attempt to strengthen their attack line in preparation for the new season.

Newcastle had shown interest in Diallo last summer, alongside Chelsea and Manchester United, before the player decided to join Chelsea, according to journalist Ben Jacobs.

Delap has struggled to secure a regular spot in the Blues' starting lineup this season, which has reduced his chances of playing consistently.

It seems that Newcastle's management is closely monitoring the player's situation, as they are keen to take advantage of the opportunity to strengthen the team's attack, especially given his limited appearances with the Blues. This makes his acquisition possible if the player agrees to a move next summer.
