The referees committee of the Spanish Football Federation announced the appointment of referee Adrián Cordero Vega to officiate the match between Barcelona and Rayo Vallecano, scheduled for Sunday at 3 PM Cairo time at Spotify Camp Nou.

Cordero Vega will officiate the match, which will be his fifteenth this season in La Liga. It will be the second match he manages for Hans Levick's team this season, following their 2-0 victory over Osasuna at Camp Nou on December 13th.

This will also be the second match he manages for Rayo Vallecano this season, following the team's heavy 4-0 defeat against Elche at the Martínez Valero Stadium, just seven days after managing the Barcelona match.

In terms of match management history, Cordero Vega has officiated for FC Barcelona in La Liga only six times, achieving five wins and one loss. The previous occasion was on February 22 of last year when Barcelona won 2-0 against Las Palmas, while the last home match was on November 30, 2025, against the same team, ending in a 2-1 defeat for Barcelona at the Montjuïc Stadium.

As for the Rayo Vallecano team, Cordero Vega has officiated 17 matches for them so far, with a record of 9 wins, 1 draw, and 7 losses. Referee Raul Martin Gonzalez will be responsible for the video assistant referee (VAR) technology.
