Bernal, who took advantage of Frenkie de Jong's absence due to injury and regained confidence and readiness after a full year of absence due to a serious knee injury, has become a vital player in the team's midfield. However, he will face Rayo Vallecano under the pressure of potentially missing the derby against Atletico Madrid on Saturday, April 4, at 9 PM Cairo time after returning from the international break, should he receive a yellow card.

Bernal successfully avoided suspension during the past two rounds against Athletic Bilbao 1-0 and Sevilla 5-2, after receiving the fourth card against Villarreal 4-1.
