Neymar's departure from Barcelona in the summer of 2017 to Paris Saint-Germain was a painful moment in the history of the Blaugrana fans, especially since the deal, valued at 222 million euros, remains the most expensive in football history. Despite this, the 34-year-old Brazilian player did not hide his feelings towards his former club, after a career that spanned from 2013 to 2017.

Neymar is currently experiencing a stint with Santos, the club where he first started, after his period with Paris Saint-Germain, which lasted from 2017 to 2023. In this context, the player showed his attachment to Barcelona through a picture he posted on Instagram Stories, where he appeared wearing a shirt and cap bearing the club's logo, with a hand gesture signaling victory.

This was not the first time Neymar showed his support for Barcelona, as he had previously worn the team's shirt last summer while hosting young star Lamine Yamal in Brazil, considering him one of his role models.

According to the Spanish newspaper, the timing of the post, which came more than 48 hours after Barcelona's big win over Newcastle with a score of 7-2 in the UEFA Champions League, does not seem directly related to that match or to coach Hans Flick's team, even though Neymar had made his predictions before the encounter.
