Gattuso Announces Italy National Team Squad for International Break

Gennaro Gattuso, the head coach of the Italian national team, announced a squad of 28 players in preparation for the playoff qualifying for the 2026 World Cup finals, which will be held in the United States, Mexico, and Canada.

The Italian national team is set to face Northern Ireland on Thursday, March 26, at the Bergamo Stadium, as part of the European playoff semi-finals. The winner of this match will meet the victor of the Wales vs. Bosnia encounter in the final.

The lineup saw the return of Liverpool winger Federico Chiesa, while the coaching staff decided to exclude Tottenham goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario from the squad.
