Thursday 19-03-2026
The Moroccan teams, Royal Army and Renaissance Berkane, are preparing for decisive matches in the second leg of the CAF Champions League quarter-finals, as they strive to secure a spot in the semi-finals.

The Royal Army will be hosted by Pyramids in a strong match at the Air Defense Stadium in Cairo, after the first leg ended in a 1-1 draw. The military team is relying on the return of Brigadier General Rabie Harimat to strengthen the midfield, in addition to the experience of coach Alexander Santos in managing such continental encounters. The army needs to score at least one goal while maintaining its defensive cohesion, in a match expected to be open to all possibilities.

On the other hand, Renaissance Berkane faces a tough test against Sudan's Al-Hilal away from home, following a 1-1 draw in the first leg. The Berkane team hopes to leverage its continental experience to achieve a positive result in the second leg scheduled at the Amahoro Stadium in Kigali, the capital of Rwanda, relying on the savvy of their coach, Moein Chaabani, and his experience in African tournaments.

The fate of the two Moroccan teams intersects in the semi-finals, as the winner of the match between FAR Rabat and Pyramids will face the qualifier from the encounter between Renaissance Berkane and Al Hilal of Sudan, opening the door to the possibility of an all-Moroccan showdown in the semi-final.
