The young star Lamine Yamal continued his remarkable performance with FC Barcelona, having scored a new goal from a penalty kick against Newcastle United in the second leg of the Champions League round of 16, according to the Spanish newspaper "Mundo Deportivo."

Lamine's goal came at a crucial time during the stoppage time of the first half, giving his team a 3-2 lead after successfully converting a penalty with confidence. The penalty was awarded due to a clear pull by Kieran Trippier on Raphinha inside the penalty area, a decision confirmed by the video assistant referee.

The newspaper noted that Lamine compensated for the mistake he made in Newcastle's second goal by showing a strong character on the field. He took the penalty kick and shot the ball to the left of the goalkeeper, who touched it but couldn't stop it.

Lamine Yamal increased his tally to five goals in the current edition of the UEFA Champions League, having previously scored against Olympiacos, Club Brugge, and Copenhagen, in addition to Newcastle in both the home and away matches, all of which highlight his continuous development.

According to the Spanish newspaper, Yamal has reached 10 goals in the Champions League across various appearances, making him the youngest player in history to achieve this milestone before turning 19, surpassing French star Kylian Mbappe. This new achievement reflects his great talent and rising status within the Catalan team.
