Royal Army Advances Trip to Cairo to Face Pyramids
The management office of the Royal Army Club decided to advance the travel date of the team's delegation to Cairo, in preparation for facing the Egyptian Pyramids team in the second leg of the CAF Champions League quarter-finals.
The team delegation departed on Wednesday evening, instead of the originally scheduled Thursday, in a move aimed at providing better conditions for preparing for the upcoming match.
The team chose to travel by private plane to avoid player fatigue given the recent match congestion, both domestically and continentally.
The team is scheduled to have two training sessions in Cairo, the first on Thursday and the second on Friday, at the Air Defense Stadium, which will host the match.
The first leg match, which was held at the Olympic Stadium in Rabat, ended in a 1-1 draw. The game was played without spectators, in accordance with the decision of the disciplinary committee of the Confederation of African Football.
