Former England international Jamie Carragher sharply criticized the decision by the Confederation of African Football to declare Senegal the loser and award the Africa Cup of Nations title to Morocco.

Carragher said the scene was shocking, explaining that Senegal celebrated the victory and lifted the cup, only to be later informed of their loss and the title being awarded to Morocco, questioning the logic of this decision.

He added that such a scenario is not possible in major European tournaments, considering that what happened raises many questions about the way competitions are managed.
