The Egyptian team Pyramids will host the Royal Army team next Saturday evening at the Air Defense Stadium in Cairo, as part of the second leg of the CAF Champions League quarter-finals.

The Egyptian team enters the match without their Moroccan midfielder Walid El Karti, due to an injury he recently sustained, as confirmed by press reports.

Al-Karti is suffering from a tear in the posterior muscle, which he sustained during the Haras El Hodoud match in the local league. This injury caused him to miss his team's last two matches, as well as the first leg held at the Olympic Stadium in Rabat.

In a related context, the Confederation of African Football assigned the task of officiating the match to a Mauritanian refereeing team, led by referee Dahane Beida, with assistance from Angolan Gerson Dos Santos and his compatriot Oliveira Lopez, while Abdelaziz Bouh takes on the role of the fourth official.

The South African Zenith Maklima was also appointed as the video assistant referee, with the assistance of Babacar Sar.
