Saudi National Team Training Camp Start Date in Jeddah
The Saudi Arabian national football team will begin its training camp in Jeddah next Sunday, as part of preparations for matches against the Egyptian national football team and the Serbian national football team.
Coach Hervé Renard decided to hold the training camp in preparation for upcoming commitments, most notably participation in the 2026 World Cup.
The camp will see the participation of 50 players, who will be divided into two groups as part of a technical plan aimed at evaluating as many players as possible.
The first group is scheduled to play a friendly match against the Egyptian national team on March 27, while the second group will conduct a technical drill within the camp.
Renard will select a squad of 23 players to travel to Belgrade on March 28, in preparation for facing the Serbian national team on the 31st of the same month during the FIFA days.
The decision to hold the camp in Jeddah instead of Doha was due to regional tensions related to events involving the United States, Israel, and Iran.
The national team's delegation is expected to return to Riyadh immediately after the match against Serbia to continue preparations for the World Cup.
The Green team is in Group H alongside the Spanish national football team, the Uruguayan national football team, and the Cape Verde national football team.
