The coach of the Saudi Arabian national football team, Hervé Renard, has implemented a special program to prepare the players who are not participating in the trip to Serbia, following the friendly match against the Egyptian national football team.

Renard decided to hold a technical drill for the reserve team in Jeddah instead of playing additional friendly matches during the current training camp.

The players who will not be traveling to Belgrade will continue their training as usual, focusing on physical and technical aspects until the end of the camp.

The technical maneuver aims to accurately assess the players' levels and select the most prominent elements to join the upcoming national team rosters.

The national team's management decided to move the March training camp to Jeddah instead of Doha due to regional tensions related to the situation between the United States, Israel, and Iran.

The national team is expected to return to Riyadh directly after playing the friendly match against Serbia at the end of this month.

The Green team is in Group H in the 2026 World Cup, alongside the Spanish national football team, the Uruguayan national football team, and the Cape Verde national football team.
