Emergency Decision by the Asian Federation Regarding the Champions League 2
Monday 16-03-2026
The Asian Football Confederation announced an adjustment to the schedule of the advanced stages of the AFC Champions League 2, setting new dates for the quarter-final and semi-final matches.

This decision came after the recent postponement of matches due to military tensions in the region, linked to the escalation between the United States, Israel, and Iran.

The Asian Football Confederation decided to hold the quarter-final and semi-final matches on neutral grounds to ensure the completion of the tournament without external influences.

April 19 has been set as the date for the quarter-final matches, while the semi-final matches will take place on the 22nd of the same month.

Saudi Al-Nassr will face UAE's Al-Wasl in one of the anticipated quarter-final matches of the tournament.

The other match also brings together Qatar's Al Ahli and Jordan's Al Hussein Irbid in the same round.

The first-leg matches were scheduled for March 3 and 4, while the second-leg matches were set for March 10 and 11 of the same month before they were later postponed.
