Olympic Safi drew 1-1 with its guest Wydad Athletic Club on Sunday evening at the Al-Massira Stadium, in the first leg of the CAF Confederation Cup quarter-finals.

The match began with a balanced rhythm between the two sides, as both teams exchanged offensive attempts from the very first minutes in an effort to open the scoring.

Despite the opportunities available to both teams during the first half, the score remained unchanged, and the first half of the match ended in a goalless draw.

In the second half, Wydad managed to open the scoring in the 68th minute through Bolivian international Miguel Terceros, giving the red team the lead.

Olympic Safi responded strongly in the final minutes of the match, intensifying their offensive pressure in search of an equalizer, which was achieved in the 86th minute by player Salah Eddine Rahhouli.

With this result, the qualification ticket remains open between the two teams before the anticipated second leg match, scheduled for Sunday, March 22, at the Mohammed V Sports Complex, starting at 8 PM.
