Manchester City Targets Tottenham Defender
Sunday 15-03-2026
Reports from 'Football Insider' revealed today, Sunday, that Manchester City considers Spanish Pedro Porro as a primary target for signing next summer.

It is expected to secure the deal at a much lower price than his estimated value of £80 million, due to the financial crisis Tottenham is experiencing, especially with the team's threat of relegation from the Premier League.

The reports indicated that Pep Guardiola and the recruitment team at Manchester City consider Porro an essential element to strengthen the right-back position for the next season, amid Tottenham's critical financial situation, which may force them to accept a reduced offer instead of sticking to the previous value.

It is noted that Tottenham will face significant financial losses if relegated, as a former financial advisor to Manchester City, Stefan Borson, indicated that the club could lose about £200 million from sponsorship deals, in addition to potential losses in broadcasting revenues and matchday income.

Pedro has played an important role with Tottenham in recent years, which led the club to set his value at £80 million last summer, but the current financial circumstances may compel the management to negotiate for a lower price.
