Sunday 15-03-2026
Real Madrid's training at the Valdebebas center saw positive news ahead of their clash with Manchester City in the second leg of the Champions League Round of 16, as both Frenchman Kylian Mbappe and full-back Alvaro Carreras became eligible to travel with the team, although the participation of both players in the match has not yet been decided.

According to the Spanish newspaper 'Marca', Mbappe participated in training with the group normally during Sunday's session at Valdebebas, without any problems or discomfort, making him eligible to travel to Manchester, with his role in the second leg to be determined in consultation with Alvaro Arbeloa. It is noted that Real Madrid will defend a 3-0 lead achieved in the first leg at the Santiago Bernabeu, all goals scored by Federico Valverde.

On his part, Carreras participated partially with the group and is expected to be included in the team list and participate in training tomorrow in Manchester, in the absence of French left-back Mendy, making the left-back position available for Fran Garcia, who was not in Arbeloa's plans until Mendy's injury in last Wednesday's match.

The same source indicated that Asensio continues his rehabilitation training after suffering from calf muscle pain, and his travel with the team is possible but not yet confirmed.
