The Surinamese Football Association announced the joining of Dutch legends Clarence Seedorf and Patrick Kluivert to support their original country's team, Suriname, known as "Natio," in its efforts to qualify for the World Cup finals for the first time in its history.

This joining comes as part of the federation's plan to enhance the technical and administrative expertise of the national team ahead of upcoming commitments.

Seedorf and Kluivert will serve as advisors alongside the coaching staff led by coach Henk ten Cate, in addition to other names like Winston Bogarde and Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink, to develop players and benefit from Surinamese talents spread across Europe.

The Director General of the Surinamese Union, Brian Tevreden, affirmed that having players of the caliber of Seedorf and Kluivert gives the project great credibility and motivates the Surinamese community in the Netherlands to support the team. He pointed out that the duo's international experience will be a great asset to the team in the upcoming decisive matches.

The Suriname national team is preparing for crucial playoff matches against Bolivia as part of the World Cup qualifiers. If they win, they will face another opponent, with the victor advancing to the World Cup. They hope to achieve a historic milestone by qualifying for the first time, benefiting from the technical and moral support provided by Dutch football legends.
