Al Hilal of Saudi Arabia achieved a hard-fought victory over Al Fateh of Saudi Arabia with a 1-0 win in the match held at Abdullah bin Jalawi Stadium in Al-Ahsa, as part of the Saudi Roshn League competition.

Al Hilal entered the match with a lineup in which Italian coach Simone Inzaghi relied on goalkeeper Yassine Bounou, with Theo Hernandez, Hassan Tambakti, Kalidou Koulibaly, and Muteb Al Harbi in front of him.

The midfield and attack also included Ruben Neves, Mohammed Kanno, Sergej Savic, and Salem Al-Dawsari, alongside Karim Benzema and Malcom.

The first half ended in a goalless draw after Al Hilal failed to impose their usual rhythm. The coach was also forced to make an early substitution, with Tambakti leaving due to injury and Abdulkarim Durasi coming on in his place.

With the start of the second half, Serbian star Sergej Savic managed to score the only goal of the match in the 48th minute, after capitalizing on a precise cross from Mohamed Kanno and heading the ball into the net.

Al-Fateh tried to get back into the match during the remaining minutes, but Al-Hilal's defense succeeded in maintaining the lead until the final whistle.

With this victory, Al Hilal raised its tally to 64 points, securing the second place in the league standings, three points behind the leading Al Nassr.

On the other hand, Al-Fateh's score remained frozen at 28 points, keeping them in the thirteenth position in the Roshan League standings after 26 rounds.
