Wydad Holds Training Camp Before Facing Safi in the Confederation
Wydad Athletic Club decided to hold a short training camp in the city of El Jadida as part of their preparations for the upcoming match against Olympique Safi in the first leg of the CAF Confederation Cup quarter-finals.
The Red Team's delegation is expected to head to the city of El Jadida on Friday to enter the preparatory camp, before continuing the journey on Saturday to the city of Safi, where the team will conduct its official training session in preparation for the match scheduled for Sunday evening at 10 PM.
The Wydad players were given two days of rest following their last match against Ittihad Touarga in the Moroccan Professional League, before the team resumed training on Wednesday evening in preparation for the continental clash.
In a related context, the Confederation of African Football announced the appointment of Egyptian referee Mohamed Maarouf to officiate the first leg match between Olympique Safi and Wydad, while referee Ahmed Imtiaz will lead the second leg match, scheduled for March 22 at the Mohammed V Complex in Casablanca.
